Stephanie E. Murphy, Esq.

With more than a decade of legal experience, Stephanie focuses her practice in the areas of law that impact families, including divorce, custody, support, elder law, estate administration, estate planning and Orphans’ Court litigation.

Stephanie frequently represents clients in matters including divorce, equitable distribution, custody, support, and protection from abuse. Although an amicable resolution is always the goal, Stephanie is well-equipped to litigate a case to completion. She understands the importance of her clients’ input and values open communication with her clients throughout the process.

Stephanie recognizes that each client is an individual and should be treated as such. She enjoys the practice of estate planning and elder law, as those practices allow for the collaboration with her clients, and often their families, to establish a plan that will help her clients reach their unique goals. Stephanie often prepares, wills, trusts, powers of attorney and advance directives for her clients, but she also looks beyond simple planning documents to assess additional legal issues that her clients may face, including long-term care planning and special needs planning.

In the area of estate administration, Stephanie works with fiduciaries to assist them in completing their legal responsibilities to an estate. She also frequently represents beneficiaries of estates to ensure that the estate’s fiduciary is upholding his or her obligations to the estate and its beneficiaries.

In her Orphans’ Court litigation practice, Stephanie has handled various matters, including, but not limited to, guardianships, will contests, trust and estate cases, and minor’s compromise actions.
